Travel Bucket List

New Orleans
This is a big one on my list. I’ve always been enticed by the idea of New Orleans. The music, the drinking, the culture – all of it. The need to visit this place grew even more while watching the show The Originals. Set in New Orleans, it just contributed to the notion that this is a place I just have to experience.

Amsterdam
I’m not talking about a weekend away with the girls getting up to no good, I’m talking museums, boat rides and riding around all day on a bike. I’ve always imagined this being such a laid back and relaxed visit that I’d love to go on my own for a weekend just to soak up the culture while finding a nice place to work on my novel. A

St Petersburg
This one is the dream, this is the one that has probably got me so excited about the prospect of travelling in the first place. I have honestly been saying for years that this is somewhere that I would love to visit one day. I was obsessed with Russian history at school and to finally visit the place where it all happened, would blow me away. While I don’t think I’ll be able to squeeze this one in this year, I have a feeling that it will be top of my list next year.

Copenhagen
Obviously, everyone and their mum had heard about the hygge way of life by now, and as much as I don’t like to conform to the hype, it is something that does interest me. SO by default, so does the country it derived from. It intrigues me and I think it would be a great place to spend exploring, unwinding, working on my book or even my sense of self.

Bahamas
Isn’t this on everyone’s list? And I’m not thinking now, or even next year. But maybe in a few years time, when I’m hopefully happy and settled in life a little more, it would be nice to take a real, kick back and relax vacation, and I think this would be my chosen destination.

Paris
Obvious? Maybe. But there is something that just draws me there. Possibly the fact it is so close, or maybe its just the pure need to see how the French live there life, I just know that this is one I would very happily like to cross off my list.
