A Little (Probably Boring) Life Update!

Well, considering my last post here was back in April, I think it’s safe to say I’ve been a little AWOL. Here’s why…

ASOS Wishlist #3

It’s time for another ASOS Wishlist! There have been lots of great pieces that have caught my eye over the last few weeks. I think this might be one of my favourite wishlists, and I’m pretty certain that I will end up buckling and this will end up in my wardrobe at the point.

How I Stay Organised.

I love a list. In fact, I love multiple lists. I will have a list of the things I need to do, what to pack if I’m going on holiday, on what I need to get when I go shopping, I will have a list for every scenario. In general, I just like to be organised! I like to know what’s happening, as well as where and when so that I know everything is under control. I think being organised is definitely a control thing for me, I hate when life is in disarray, and most of all I hate not having a plan. So I thought I would just do a little post about the main ways I keep organised.

Vancouver Has My Heart.

The title says it all really. I love everything about Vancouver and would go back in a heartbeat. How could you not love it; the food was fantastic, everywhere was beautiful and there’s so much to explore. Despite staying for a week, 3 of those days were designated purely for a convention, so I really didn’t feel like I had enough time to explore everything I wanted to, but I guess that’s just reason to go back (not that I really need a reason)!

The Chronic Illness Tag.

I came across this tag a few months ago, and it has been sitting in my drafts for ages, so I thought I would finally get on with it. My illness is something that I am very open about, not because it is something that defines me, but because it is a part of me. Hopefully, this tag will raise some awareness and if you have any questions, do feel free to leave a comment below.

Travel Bucket List

There’s something about the idea of travelling that has really appealed to me in the last few months. I’m not sure what it is, but I suddenly have this urge to just make plans and get on planes to jet halfway around the world. Is it all achievable? Probably not, but these are the places that I would absolutely love to visit at some point in the near future.

Theatre Plans 2019

I love going to the theatre. It’s something that I have enjoyed doing since I was younger. I’ve compiled a list of the ten different shows that I’m hoping to tick off of my list this year.

Games I want on the switch

Talking about my Switch again? Shocker I know! But I thought instead of talking about why I love it and what my current favourite games are, I’d talk about the games I’m PRAYING come to the Switch sometime in the very near future. I’ve been more than happy with my fill of Switch games over the last year, but I’ll be honest with you, there were a few announcements I was wishing so hard for that didn’t happen. But my fingers are crossed super tight that one day in the very near future these games will be ported over to the Switch.

I always get sucked into the 99p deals, I'm a sucker for a deal! However, is it a deal when you have hundreds of books on your kindle already that you haven't read yet? 🤣 This month I picked up:

✨️ The Enigma of Room 622
✨️ Happy Place
✨️ The Wolf and the Woodsman
✨️ Notes on Heartbreak
✨️ Her Majesty's Royal Coven
✨️ Merideth Alone

Have you picked any of these up? Read any? Let me know! ☺️

Have I been telling absolutely everyone who would lend me an ear about how absolutely fantastic this new musical is? Yes, yes I have! I booked this back in November on a complete whim! Mostly because in the email I got, it was described as "part Mel Brooks, part Six, part Hamilton with a side order of One Man, Two Guvnors", and if that doesn't hook you I don't know what will! Other than the brief synopsis in the email, I went in blind, knowing nothing about the show, the music or the actors but man do I want to shout about them now.

Firstly, the Fortune Theatre felt like the perfect kind of venue for a show like this, surprisingly intimate and like you were actually involved in the action. From the very first song, I was hooked, I knew that I was in for a good one! The actors were all absolutely phenomenal, each one with comical timing that was absolutely on the money along with some fantastic pipes that were definitely easy on the ears. I laughed, I teared up, I didn't want it to end, everything from the music to the staging was absolute perfection if you ask me. @spitlip aren't a group I'd heard of before, but certainly won't be one I forget fast. I will absolutely without a single doubt be going to see this again before it closes, and only pray that it actually sticks around. Potentially the best new musical I've seen in a very, very long time! Go get your tickets now, old chap! ✌️
